Terms of Use
These Terms apply to your use of the Rex App, rexnow.tv, and related Rex services. The service provider is Rex Studio, and the contact email is hello@getrex.tv. Please read these Terms and the Privacy Policy before use, especially the provisions on content rights, third-party services, fees, and liability.
1. Scope of services
Rex provides tools for organizing media, displaying information, and playback. Available features depend on the app version, device capabilities, the servers you connect, and support from third-party services. Film and television descriptions, ratings, and posters are informational; they do not mean Rex grants you playback rights or a content license for the corresponding titles.
You must obtain lawful access to content you play, save, import, or share. Identifying a media item does not mean Rex guarantees that the content can be played, is complete or accurate, or is suitable for all ages.
2. License and proper use
Subject to these Terms and the applicable distribution platform terms, you may install and use Rex on permitted devices. Rights in Rex's name, interface, and app code remain with their respective rights holders. Open-source components included in the app are provided under their own licenses; these Terms do not improperly restrict rights granted by those licenses.
When you obtain Rex through the App Store, the custom end-user license agreement presented when you acquire the app applies to the app software; if none is provided, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) applies. These Terms add rules for using Rex services; they do not replace the applicable software license or Apple Media Services terms. Software licensing matters are governed by the relevant license agreement. No provision affects mandatory rights you have under law.
You must not use Rex to infringe another person's copyright, privacy, or other lawful rights; access servers without authorization; misuse credentials; distribute malware; or disrupt Rex or third-party services through malicious automated requests. Conduct expressly permitted by law is not prohibited by this clause.
3. Servers, accounts, and extension modules
You are responsible for checking that servers, media addresses, and extension modules you add come from trustworthy sources and for protecting accounts, access tokens, and API keys. Third-party services may change their features, quotas, authorization conditions, or fees; Rex cannot guarantee their continued availability. Connections between Rex and Plex, Trakt, TMDB, AI service providers, or other third parties do not imply mutual endorsement.
Modules may access external networks or process data you provide. Review their source and description before use. Module output and AI translation may contain errors and should not be used for professional decisions that require high reliability.
4. Fees and purchases
If a Rex feature is offered for purchase or subscription, the price, duration, eligible devices, automatic renewal, and cancellation conditions should be clearly shown before purchase. The transaction terms you actually confirm govern. Payment, subscription management, and refund requests for items purchased through Apple are handled through Apple's channels and under applicable rules. A charge that was not displayed and confirmed by you does not create a payment obligation.
If you choose an automatically renewing subscription, it renews at the interval and applicable price shown when you purchased it unless you cancel in time under the platform's requirements. Eligibility for an offer or trial, its duration, charges after it ends, and cancellation requirements are governed by the purchase page and platform confirmation. Price or benefit changes will be notified under platform rules and applicable law, and consent will be obtained where required.
For subscriptions purchased through Apple, you can manage them on an iPhone or iPad under “Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions”; see Apple's cancellation instructions. Cancelling renewal is not a refund request. For a refund, follow Apple's refund request instructions; eligibility is determined under applicable rules. Availability after cancellation is governed by the platform display and applicable terms. Statutory rights are unaffected.
Third-party servers, cloud services, or AI providers may charge separately. These charges are not included in Rex's price unless the purchase description expressly states otherwise.
5. Data and feedback
See the Privacy Policy for how personal information is processed. Keep appropriate backups of important configuration and media records, and check the effects before clearing, deleting, or syncing. When submitting material to support, you must have the right to provide it and should remove unrelated personal information and access credentials where possible.
Your feedback authorizes us to use it only as necessary to solve problems and improve the service. It does not transfer ownership of your content or permit publication of your private material.
6. Service changes and liability
Some features may become temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, device limitations, network outages, or third-party changes. We will give appropriate information about service changes Rex controls that materially affect your interests and handle purchased benefits according to law.
Each party is responsible for the consequences of its own fault and as required by applicable law. These Terms do not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or deprive consumers of statutory rights. Disputes over third-party content and services generally require participation by the provider, but that does not relieve Rex of legal responsibility for its own conduct.
7. Stopping use and service restrictions
You may stop using Rex, revoke external authorizations, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription managed by a distribution platform or guarantee deletion of cloud records. See the Privacy Policy for how to delete data.
Where there is evidence of unlawful use, attacks, or serious violations of these Terms, we may restrict relevant services to the extent necessary. Where the law permits and it will not impede security response, we will provide reasons and a channel for appeal. Paid benefits will be handled under applicable law and purchase terms.
8. Minors
Minors should read these Terms with a guardian's help and use Rex and make purchase decisions under a guardian's guidance. Follow age-appropriateness requirements and the law in your region.
9. Dispute resolution
If a dispute arises, you may first contact us through in-app feedback or the email above to seek a resolution. The law governing these Terms is determined under relevant legal rules. If discussions fail, you may make a claim before a court with jurisdiction or an applicable dispute resolution body as provided by law. Discussion is not a prerequisite to exercising statutory complaint or remedy rights.
10. Other terms and updates
If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply where they can lawfully stand alone. A party's failure to exercise a right promptly does not mean it waives that right, unless the law provides otherwise. Section headings are for convenience only and do not change the meaning of these Terms.
When these Terms are updated, the page will show the version and effective date. Material changes affecting your substantive rights will be accompanied by appropriate notice and, where required by law, consent.
